Wavegate 220

Wavegate™ 220 is a robust Wavenis/GPRS gateway(1) that enables 2-way M2M data transmission and device alerts in large-scale automated wireless sensor networks, such as those deployed for advanced metering infrastructure solutions. As the root device in synchronous v2-mode networks(2), the Wavegate 220 gateway serves as a data collection and relay point between deployed Wavenis devices in the field and a customer's back-office invoicing and network administration operations. Wavegate 220 is frequently used in smart metering networks in conjunction with Wavenet Manager network and data management tools.

(1) In terms of network operation and remote device access, Wavegate 220 is functionally equivalent to the Wavegate 320 product in a more industrial footprint (notably a heavy steel enclosure and large backup battery).
