Coronis earns ISO 9001 accreditation
Coronis, an Elster Group company, leading global designer and developer of OEM wireless solutions for ultra-low-power (ULP) and long-range sensor monitoring networks, today announced the successful completion of the normalization process to become an ISO 9001 certified organization, allowing the company to better deliver its wireless platforms to M2M markets around the world.
When Coronis was acquired by the Elster Group in 2007, one of the areas that Coronis’ management team wanted to improve was its ability to better manage Coronis supply chain as well as its own business processes. One of the first actions taken was the creation of a Quality Control position and empowering that person to drive the project and lead the internal audit of all Coronis processes. A quality management plan was developed and applied to all company processes, reinforcing the positive elements and improving the areas that where weaker, thus bringing the company quality management system up to the international level that allowed Coronis to become ISO 9001 version 2008 certified. The Coronis ISO Registration number is: 2009072379.
Coronis Quality Policy Statement states Coronis commitment to a Quality Management System based on the principles of: products, services, and solutions that set industry standards for excellence, highly qualified personnel working as a team to meet customer’s needs, and management focused on the continuous improvement of resources, processes and a Quality Management System to generate satisfied customers and corporate growth.
