Maestro Wireless Solutions enlarges its Heritage Gateway offer by integrating Wavenis® Technology in a new cutting-edge GPRS gateway
Maestro Wireless Solutions today announced the launch of a new Wavenis-enabled industrial gateway. This 25 mW Wavenis to GPRS Gateway allows remote monitoring and control of Wavenis-enable devices in a simple and cost effective way.
Developed in Hong Kong, with the support from strategic partner Coronis S.A.S, its small footprint is ideal for building AMR Wireless Mesh network, . "We are clearly targeting several business cases with this new product." said Mr. Xavier Dupont, Managing Director of the Fargo Telecom Group.
"The use of such gateway is especially needed in Asia where repeaters are usually too complicated to set-up or too costly. In such harsh and dense urban areas, integrators face difficulties building effective large scale mesh networks. The Heritage RF to GPRS Gateway allows our clients the ability to deploy smaller sub networks connected and centralized at the central station via GPRS.
We also plan on using the Wavenis standard to allow Maestro to gain a foot hold in the Home Automation and Building Management markets. The Heritage's compact design is well received by home users."
The Heritage is also perfect if you need to retrofit any M2M application and provide full, 2 ways communication of data. The device is easy to install and can be used as a transparent gateway if needed.
The Maestro Heritage, 25 mW GPRS Wavenis-enabled Gateway, is immediately available in the full ISM 433,868 and 915 MHz bandwidths through Maestro distributor network, development kits are also available, kindly check Maestro website.
